Julia Migenes -"Diva on the Verge"
Drawing on her experiences in opera, the irrepressible soprano Julia Migenes invites us to look afresh at the genre she loves, with her irreverent 75-minute one-woman show “Diva on the Verge”. Mingling monologue and opera and often mocking its rigid world, this show reveals Julia’s daring wit and sense of humor. Punctuated with some of the greatest arias in the soprano repertoire, she sketches out the life of an opera singer, with audacious anecdotes from behind the scenes.
An Evening with French Writer Philippe Claudel
French writer Philippe Claudel will present and sign his novel By a Slow River, the American release of his award-winning French novel Les Ames Grises translated from French by Hoyt Rogers.
The book presentation will be accompanied by the screening of the movie Les Ames Grises/Grey Souls directed by Yves Angelo and co-written by P. Claudel and a Q&A with the writer.
Presentation in collaboration with the Alliances Francaises of Los Angeles and Pasadena.
Peter & The Wolf

Danny, King of the Basement
Young Audience Play by David S. Craig
This play tells the story of Danny 'Delco' Carter. In 2 years, he and his mother have lived in more places than most kids lose teeth. But far from being overcome by this homelessness, Danny appears to be thriving.
Play presented by the Roseneath Theatre Company, Toronto and inspired by the Golden report on Homelessness, wich reports that 25% of homeless people in Toronto are children under 12.
