Seffarine tire son nom de l’ancienne place des métallurgistes de Fès, au Maroc, célèbre pour les rythmes des marteaux des forgerons et où la famille de Lamiae Naki perpétue depuis longtemps la tradition artisanale.
Mêlant influences arabes, andalouses, ouest-africaines, flamenco et persanes, Seffarine crée une musique originale et vibrante, nourrie par des siècles d’échanges culturels. Mené par Lamiae Naki et le guitariste Nat Hulskamp, l’ensemble international réunit oud, guitare flamenca, kamancheh, rythmes puissants et voix envoûtantes chantées en arabe marocain.
Leur musique les a conduits à travers le monde, de l’Europe à l’Indonésie, avec des collaborations et enregistrements aux côtés de grands artistes flamenco en Espagne, dont Diego del Morao et le lauréat d’un Latin Grammy Antonio Rey.
Seffarine takes its name from the ancient metalworking square in Fez, Morocco, famous for the rhythmic sound of blacksmiths’ hammers and where Lamiae Naki’s family has long been known as master craftsmen.
Blending Arabic, Andalusian, West African, flamenco, and Persian influences, Seffarine creates vibrant original music rooted in centuries of cultural exchange. Led by Lamiae Naki and guitarist Nat Hulskamp, the international ensemble combines oud, flamenco guitar, kamancheh, powerful rhythms, and captivating vocals sung in Moroccan Arabic.
Their music has taken them around the world, from Europe and Indonesia to collaborations and recordings with renowned flamenco artists in Spain, including Diego del Morao and Latin Grammy winner Antonio Rey.

Seffarine est un ensemble international fondé autour de la chanteuse marocaine Lamiae Naki, originaire de Fès. Inspiré par les traditions musicales d’Afrique du Nord, d’Andalousie et du Moyen-Orient, le groupe mêle flamenco, musique arabo-andalouse, influences persanes et jazz dans un univers riche et vibrant.
