An inspiring collection of four works highlighting the BODYTRAFFIC’s defining qualities: precision and freedom, humor and heart, intellect and joy.

This program demonstrates the company’s dedication to cultivating its own creative voices, showcasing new works crafted by its dancers. Culminating in a work by Creative Partner Trey McIntyre, set to the soulful music of Sam Cooke. Together, these pieces honor the bold imagination and collaborative spirit that define BODYTRAFFIC.

 

ABOUT BODYTRAFFIC

BODYTRAFFIC is an internationally acclaimed contemporary dance company based in Los Angeles, founded in 2007 by Artistic Director Tina Finkelman Berkett. Known for its technical excellence and versatility, the company performs a wide-ranging repertoire that includes ballet, contemporary, modern, Afro-Cuban, and hip-hop influences, and collaborates with leading choreographers such as Kyle Abraham, Trey McIntyre, Ohad Naharin, and Micaela Taylor.

Touring extensively across the U.S. and internationally, BODYTRAFFIC brings the spirit and diversity of Los Angeles to audiences worldwide. Alongside its performance work, the company is deeply committed to education, reaching hundreds of students each year through workshops and professional development programs. Guided by values of challenge, inclusion, and growth, BODYTRAFFIC is dedicated to moving bodies—and ideas—forward.

BT Creates reflects BODYTRAFFIC’s commitment to cultivating its own creative voices. Curated by Founding Artistic Director Tina Finkelman Berkett, this evening of works is an inspiring collection highlighting BODYTRAFFIC’s defining qualities: precision and freedom, humor and heart, intellect and joy. Together, these pieces offer an intimate look at the dancers’ individual visions and the collaborative spirit at the heart of the company.
