H'sao's journey begins in Chad where the Rimtobaye brothers and sister, Caleb, Mossbass, Taroum and Israel, get their start performing in their father's church. Drawing from gospel, traditional African music, as well as their native Chadian roots, H'sao display clear soul, pop and R&B tendencies in their unique music. Now based in Montréal, all members of the group contribute to the songwriting process incorporating their various influences into a smooth blend of African rhythms. The band's masterful a capella singing, contagious energy and mesmerizing African dance set them apart on the vast soundscape of world music.
