A Week of French Language Cinema
A Week of French Language Cinema exemplifies the range and vibrancy of contemporary French language filmmakers, taking place March 19-25. In collaboration with the Consulates General of Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, France, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Quebec Government Office in Los Angeles, and Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, TRK presents nightly screenings of critically acclaimed French language films, from March 19th through March 25th. All films are subtitled in English.

San Antonio trio The Last Bandoleros perform their brand new album entitled Tex Flex Folklórico at TRK in celebration of Cinco de Mayo! Les Combats d'une Effrontée (The Battles of a Woman who Dared)
LA Premiere! The story of how one woman survived the Holocaust and forever altered French society. The play is the first ever adaptation of Simone Veil’s 2007 memoir called “A Life”, which recounts in detail Veil’s deportation from France to Nazi concentration camps as a child and her astonishing life afterwards. In French with English surtitles.
Promises- A film by Amanda Sthers
Special screening: Promises, a film by Amanda Sthers and starring Kelly Reilly, Jean Reno, Pierfrancesco Favino, and including debut role by Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles’ very own Leon Hesby. Based on Sthers’ international bestseller by the same title, “Promises” turns on an unfulfilled love affair between Alexander, played by Pierfrancesco Favino and Laura, played by Kelly Reilly.
